Welcome to the dmclark blog. The dm is me and those two letters stand for David Marshall and, of course, Clark is my last nme. This blog will always be in the making and will change quite often. I have wanted
to write a blog for quite some time to satisfy the urge to write and the share envents and happening in my life as well as some ovservations, views, opinion, and, sadly, judgement to those who might be interested.
Why a blog?
I wanted to do this a little differently at first to sort of get used to the whole blog thing while, at the same time, slowing weening myself from FaceBook. I know there are currently many discussions about the usefulness of Facebook, negative use by some organizations and prople
and many are advising people to use it less or even quit. My thoughts on FaceBook have little to do with its usefullness or the good versus bad of it as a social network. No, my problems are the very things it does that cause or induce others to use it and that is all the things
that do not interest me and, of course, all the advertisements.
For example, I am not really interested in what restaurant a person I went to high school with 50 years ago is currently eating especially if I have never heard of that restaurant before.
On the other hand, if that person is recommending a restaurant and providing useful information that would be useful then it should be shared with others.
Security Stuff - Please Read
The security of this blog and all content is very important and will be my top prioirty. Although I was a computer security specialist I have been out of that field for years and much as
changed so the full security measure wil be implemented slowily to insure it all works properlty while keeping the site robust.
Please note the web page extension is ".de" which means the site is phiycically located on a server in Germany. As such all German laws pertaining to web sites will be strictly followed and
enforced by a government certified data secuirty specialist who, as it turns out, if my wife.
You should also be aware that the German lasws on data security are significantly stricter than those in the US and are enforced.
